Yes, we use WordPress!!
When Flosites first started creating blogs for photographers nearly 3 years ago, we had several challenges to overcome to create an easy to use system with good image management, but also to visually please. At that time, WordPress and other blogging platforms where unable to make the designs our clients wanted, therefore we had created our own custom back-end management system to manage and edit our custom blogs.
However, over time technology boomed, and as our business grew we found we and our clients required a more diverse system to meet our clients requests, as well as well as our own. WordPress had just went through come major updates when wordpress 2.5.1 was released and it made our choice easy. Not only was it flexible, but also had improved SEO, better user management, easy to add social media, widget plugins, and support the new raving revolution of mobile web internet due to the release of the blackberry and iphone. This was all very good, although the main gem about wordpress is that the system is constantly alive – always being updated and grown as a system with thousands of user inputs from the wordpress community – something that NO custom system can ever compete with, and that was what sealed the deal and we made the full transition.
We are now happy to let everyone know that we now create ALL of our Custom blogs and blog sites on the WordPress platform, and this will be our chosen platform for the future.
