RAVES

Hmm, well....what had happened was....

I've never actually solicited a "rave" from a client. Sure, we've received several e-mails, notes, and calls from happy clients...but I've never made an archive for "raves". Well, our new blog has this cool little "rave" feature, so what shall we do with it?

My goal is to make sure every client is satisfied with their experience with us. That is our top priority, bar none.

We thought it would be interesting to share what some of the leaders in the wedding photography industry have said about us on a recent surprise article written by one of our Trash the Dress Staff members. We are very humbled by the comments of our peers, starting off with the most important people in my life.... Heather and Merrik (my wife and daughter).

Mark,

Congrats on the first anniversary of TTD. What a year it’s been, so many things to be proud of. My part is not to boast of site popularity but instead I get to brag on you. A task I rather enjoy. Merrik and I are so proud of all that you have done in a short period of time. You never cease to amaze me with all of the balls that you juggle. I know the time and energy that you put into this, while still keeping your family first. How you manage to be so effective on a few hours sleep is beyond me. No one knows you like I do and only a few have a glimpse into all of the great things that you have brewing in that head of yours waiting to surface. Your passion for the industry is geniune, your vision is inspiring. More importantly your friendship is true to all those who have the honor of calling you friend.
Never forget that Merrik and I love you. You’ll always be her “hero” and my “rockstar”.
Love Forever
Heather & Merrik

Hey Mark,

You know me I am not really good at writing. I just wanted to say congrats on the first year. You have been a good friend and Allison and I feel very lucky to call you that, “our Friend”! I cannot wait until the next year, there is a lot coming up for the both of us!

What can I say about Mark that hasn’t already been said by his peers, colleagues, and clients. Mark is an artist, a true friend and a professional through and through.

His management of Trashthedress.com and it’s sister sites has not only been a blessing to wedding clients everywhere, but anyone remotely involved with TTD.

Mark thank you for your mentorship and example to us all. I cannot thank you enough for allowing me the honor of helping with TTD.com as an administrator and I cannot wait to see where we all take TTD.com in 2008!

Congratulations, Mark, on making Trash the Dress such a success!

Thank you, Mark, for helping to “raise awareness” but more importantly, for making it easier for brides to see the beauty of these images.

It’s been great working with you and I’m glad that I could help you out. The thing that impresses me the most is that even in the midst of all the things going on in your life, you still make time to be with your children and goof off with them, even in the presence of other “professionals.” You are a husband and a father foremost and I am so blessed to see that in you.

May God continue to bless you in everything you do!

Mark Eric has been one of my favorite entrepreneur’s of 2007 because of his efforts to bring to light the trend of trashing the wedding dress.

Personally, I can’t imagine how Mark has been able to maintain a wedding photography career and author a blog who received nearly 1,000,000 hits… Who is this guy, superman? Not to mention, he has created a forum that is up and running as well. He has been trying to focus on bringing together photographers of excellent caliber and showcasing nothing but the best on his site, also promoting networking and growth inside the photographic community.

One of the things that I love about Mark is his kind and hospitable positive temperament. He treats everyone he speaks to like an angel and always seems to be smiling and laughing, no matter the circumstance. Even during criticism, Mark keeps his cool, always making a positive twist from a negative.

Mark’s efforts to bring national press to the TTD trend have made dramatic changes in my and my wife’s career. We receive at least 2 or 3 requests every week for a TTD session or honeymooner sessions.

I vote Mark Eric for president! Jk.. Lots of love to you man, congrats on 1 amazing year… You deserve it!

What can we say about mark but what a contribution he is to the photography world. He has helped so many photogs to get noticed in this industry. The Trash the dress site is amazing and has become a huge deal and is such a awesome way to approach wedding photography. A way that before we knew TTD, we would have never approached the idea before. He knows what the definition of beautiful is with his style of photography. Mark thank you for all you do!!!

If a dictionary definition of a “great guy” were to ever be written, Mark Eric would be an ideal candidate to model it after. From my very first interaction with him, I found him to be a truly generous, genuine and charming person that I am proud to call my friend. It’s been my privilege to come to know him as a hard-working, dedicated and talented photographer who is always giving of himself to his clients, his family, to his colleagues and friends. I am continually inspired by him as a person and a creative, innovative artist. I look forward to watching his achievements accumulate and hope to remain in his circle of friends who will join him in celebration of his inevitable future successes.

Trash the Dress has really opened up so many possibilities, it creates this credibility when you ask brides to do these things they might otherwise think are insane. I have always been willing to go the extra mile to get shots but now TTD is showing the public its OK to do the same. Even for brides that don’t want to “trash” their dress, it shows them its OK to take the white gloves off and explore a little bit.

Mark is a great guy, plain and simple. He is a blast to shoot with and really brings that spirit of sharing information within the industry. I really don’t have anything to say ripping him but I will try and dig up some incrementing photos.

mark kicks ass. i pretty much like anyone who can get a bride to trash her pretty pretty princess dress and actually make that popular. here’s to more years of encouraging ladies to shirk tradition and think outside the box!

I just want to thank Mark Erik for everything he has done and continues to do for the photography industry and Trash the Dress.
When I first met Mark online almost 2 years ago I could see that he had a true passion to be a great photographer,
he had ideas and dreams and wasn’t afraid to do them, thanks to Mark my own photography business has seen great success.

Mark Eric has to be just about the one of the most upstanding guys I have ever known. When I think about servant leadership, Mark Eric is who I think about. I am glad to know him on a professional level, but more just to be able to call him a close friend. He is one of the only people that always seems to care more about the art of photography than his own personal gain. My hats off to the man!

Mark,

You are a true inspiration. It is amazing how you took your idea of the TTD and turned it into something so big in such a short time. I so enjoyed doing our TTD session together in New Orleans a couple of months ago. You are a very down to earth and easy going personality. This is probably one of the reasons why you are doing so great. Keep up the great work and please continue to share your creativity.

Mark is just an all around awesome guy. Always smiling but never conceited; always willing to share and help others on their way. Congrats on all the justly deserved recognition for your work. Think of all the togs you’ve inspired! People only dream of influencing so many others and you’ve done it man! Nothing like a little Mark to brighten your day…thanks again, and don’t forget who you are..THE Original TTD Pimp. Sweet!

Who would have guessed that Trash The Dress would become so popular? Mark Eric, that’s who! Mark’s insight and instinct have proven to be 100% dead-on. The industry was thirsting for something new, and while he wasn’t the first one to try such a session, Mark was definitely the motivating factor behind the success of this great new movement. I have ONE single TTD session posted on my website and that single session has booked wedding after wedding after wedding. Even brides who aren’t interested in a TTD session are captivated by the idea and love my willingness to step outside the box. So, thank you to Mark for sticking with the TTD concept even when it seemed like it wasn’t creating buzz. Seems the buzz has turned into a MIGHTY ROAR!

It’s amazing to think how one website has changed wedding photography as
we know it in such a short time. Trashthedress.com would never have become
such a huge hit without all of Mark’s energy and hard work. I know the
senior version of Trash the Dress, letsgettrashed.com never would have
come to life without him. Thank you Mark for your commitment to improving
creative wedding photography, your awesome ideas and your dedication to
showcasing our “out of the box” ideas.

After my first encounter with Mark I quickly realized how much he values friendship, loyalty & selflessness and reading through everyone’s messages reinforces everything I’ve always thought of him - a genuine, caring person with a strong & principled character. Throughout the ups & downs of the year he has maintained a positive & unwavering demeanor that he, his family & associates can be proud of.

Mark, I feel honored & privileged to be able to call you a friend as well as to work with you on some very exciting projects and I cannot thank you enough for involving Paul & I in these great opportunities :)

We can’t wait to meet up with you in Las Vegas!
