Well, we are finally in our new house, yay! We decided to pretty much start from scratch with our furniture, so we are sitting on the floor for the most part while waiting on the new furniture to arrive. My office has some lovely paper shades in place until the window treatments are finished, while the living room windows are bare- showing our lives to the construction crew behind us who are working on another home. Some family members helped us sod the yard, which was a very interesting project. Even though we ordered an entire truck load (as in 18 wheeler truck load), we have a nice bare spot in the backyard big enough to put 5 swing sets on. I'm sure Merrik would love that- for now, she is having fun creating lovely mud castles. Speaking of Merrik, she is the proud owner of the only two completed rooms in the house (her bedroom and her playroom)- we'll have to post pics of the amazing job Heather did with the design soon. Ladybugs, poke-a-dots, and pink- oh my. If you've been trying to contact us via the phone number on the website (318-641-1008), you may have experienced a message stating the number has been disconnected. The number was transfered the number to our new address, but we're waiting on Bellsouth to release it to Sudden Link (the cable company)- which they assure me will be done ASAP. So, e-mail may be the best way to reach us now, until the number is re-established at our new address. (mark@markeric.net). We'll post a few more pics soon- but for now, enjoy the loveley mailbox that I installed myself. I feel so manly. Those who know me know that I am not Mr. Handyman- but I only had to drill 8 holes in the concrete to install the mailbox- (which only needs 4 bolts). I'm so proud of myself.
